BANDAGED RELIC NEEDING STICKING PLASTER A 3,000-year-old Egyptian mummy in a museum in India has suffered serious damage at the hands of an over-zealous attendant armed with a vacuum cleaner.
The worker opened the airtight case thinking the dusty relic would benefit from a thorough clean.
Instead, bandaged parts ended up inside his machine, with particular damage to the nose and two toes.
The museum curator blamed the incident on his predecessor.
