MPs' TV LICENCE EXEMPTION SPARKS ANGER An MP has called for pensioners to get cheaper TV licences after finding out that politicians pay no fees for the 1,600 sets in the Houses of Parliament.
Commons Administration Committee chairman Marion Roe told Labour MP Peter Bradley, who raised the issue, that a parliamentary exemption applied.
Licences were not needed for "sets used for official purposes", said Mrs Roe.
Mr Bradley described the policy as "a slap in the face" for pensioners.
