The eclipse happens in four stages and the total eclipse itself will last only two minutes, occuring just after 11am.
At first a tiny notch appears on the edge of the sun, then it gradually becomes a crescent shape.
The moon slowly creeps across the sun for about an hour and a half and shadows can be seen moving around it.
