DOCTORS "NEED FIRM ADVICE" ON VIAGRA
GPs facing huge demands for the anti-
impotence drug Viagra need urgent
advice on prescribing it, according to
the British Medical Association.
BMA chief Dr Ian Bogle said GPs were in
a "difficult" position, advised only to
prescribe in "exceptional" cases.
They want clarifications on interim
advice from Health Secretary Frank
Dobson given prior to a final ruling.
Dr Bogle said there was a clash between
Government policy and doctors' duties.
