STAFFING CRISIS FACING NHS, SAYS REPORT
NHS managers have warned the Government
that they are facing serious problems
in keeping staff and filling vacancies.
A submission to the NHS pay review body
suggests more than 75% of hospitals are
having difficulties in recruiting and
retaining nurses and midwives.
The NHS Confederation also says 82% of
hospitals are having problems finding
occupational and physiotherapists.
The Government has already pledged to
recruit an extra 15,000 nurses.
