 MOSCOW MAYOR TAKES AIM AT YELTSIN      
 Moscow mayor Yuri Luzhkov, tipped as a 
 strong contender in next year's        
 presidential elections, has lashed out 
 at Russian President Boris Yeltsin.    
                                        
 Speaking on Russian TV, Mr Luzhkov said
 the Kremlin was using state security   
 bodies to intimidate its opponents.    
                                        
 Mr Luzhkov, a critic of radical market 
 reformers, also defended his record as 
 mayor, saying Moscow had flourished    
 while other regions had lagged behind. 
                                        
 "Moscow is working hard, Moscow has    
 virtually no unemployment," he said.
