 TEXTILES COMPANY CUTS WORKING WEEK     
 Around 250 people working for a sister 
 firm of Pringle are to be placed on a  
 four-day week, it has been announced.  
                                        
 The staff at Barrie Knitwear, in       
 Hawick, part of Dawson International,  
 will be told of the change when they   
 return from holiday on Monday.         
                                        
 A company spokesman said reasons for   
 the cutback were partly seasonal but   
 resumption of normal working would     
 depend on future orders.               
                                        
 A downturn in trade has led to job cuts
 at Pringle.
