 HAGGART FAMILY RECEIVES POLICE APOLOGY 
 The family of murdered Celtic youth    
 player Lawrence Haggart has received an
 apology from Central Scotland police.  
                                        
 It was made because of the way in which
 the force mishandled initial inquiries 
 into the 15-year-old's death.          
                                        
 Lawrence was found seriously injured at
 his Larbert home in 1996. Subsequent   
 investigations were wrongly focused on 
 members of his family.                 
                                        
 Three officers were later disciplined  
 and another, a detective inspector, has
 been suspended from duty.
