 British teams have been edged out of   
 the medal positions at the European    
 Junior Championships in France.        
                                        
 England finished fourth in the team    
 event with Wales fifth, followed by    
 Ireland and the Channel Islands.       
                                        
 Overall champions were Euskadi, who    
 finished ahead of Portugal and the host
 nation France.                         
                                        
 There were strong individual           
 performances though, including         
 Cornwall's Alan Stokes who made it     
 through to the grand final.
