 BA SHARES HIT BY US TALKS WALKOUT      
 Shares in British Airways were dampened
 after planned "open skies" talks       
 between US and UK government officials 
 ended as the US delegation walked out. 
                                        
 The US Department of Transport cited   
 route rights, pricing and a dispute    
 settlement mechanism as among the      
 sticking-points in this week's talks.  
                                        
 A British Government spokesman said:   
 "The UK delegation was perfectly ready 
 to continue with the talks until the   
 end of Wednesday as scheduled."        
                                        
 BA shares fell 13¼p to 322p.
