 FOOTBALL RED IMPS PUT 17 UP FOR SALE   
 Second Division Lincoln City have told 
 other clubs that 17 of their 23 playing
 staff are available for transfer       
 because of a serious cash crisis.      
                                        
 Chairman John Reames said at a fans'   
 meeting that players would have to     
 leave to finance the strengthening of  
 the squad.                             
                                        
 He admitted being "naive" about the    
 amount of money needed at a higher     
 level after the club won promotion.    
                                        
 But he said: "This club will not die.  
 We're not going into receivership."
