 UNISON FIGHTS COUNCIL'S CARE CONTRACTS 
 A union is launching a campaign to stop
 care homes for the elderly being       
 contracted out by a council amid fears 
 that staff will suffer pay and job cuts
                                        
 Unison is already preparing tribunal   
 cases on behalf of staff at nine homes 
 in Wiltshire which transferred earlier 
 this year to the St John Trust.        
                                        
 Unison claims pay was cut, sick pay    
 reduced and the union de-recognised.   
                                        
 "The morale of staff in the homes has  
 hit rock bottom," said a spokesman.
