The concrete was placed across the track near Shoreham Airport earlier in the month and was struck by the Worthing to Brighton train.
The collision forced the train out of action and caused widespread cancellations the following day.
The reward is being offered by Connex Rail, Railtrack and Amec who want to stop such dangerous stunts.
