STRAW REJECTS REHABILITATION PROPOSAL Home Secretary Jack Straw has ruled out a plan to rehabilitate vicitms of miscarriages of justice who are freed after many years in jail.
Mr Straw said he was not convinced it was necessary to set up a separate prison system to prepare innocent vicitms for life outside jail.
Chris Mullin MP said long-serving prisoners were always re-habilitated.
But there was no such care for inmates whose sentences were quashed, he said.
